36 years ago, Robin and Steve McGowan began to dream about opening a neighborhood bar of their own one day. On January 10th, 2017, McGowan's Hops and Grapes opened in Tallahassee, Fl and the dream became a reality.
Despite Steve and Robin both anticipating a slow start, the grand opening was extremely successful. Business has only continued to climb, as the people of Tallahassee quickly embraced McGowan's Hops and Grapes as the place to enjoy great beer, wine, food, and company.
"They're very caring and love what they do. They're the best employers I've had and I feel like family," told one employee.
Steve and Robin McGowan created their restaurant as a place to be treated like a home. Customers who come in are greeted by either Steve, Robin, or a staff member and invited to sit wherever they would like. There are over 40 craft beers to choose from, all on tap, and over 50 craft wines as well. For beer and wine enthusiasts alike, there is bound to be a flavor for everyone. The food menu is just as impressive with unique items such as pizza dip and reuben egg rolls. Customers can take their time and have fun with plenty of game options ready to use, like Uno or Dominoes. It is for reasons like these that people just keep going back to McGowan's Hops and Grapes.
